BOOK #2 DONE!!!
Hi everybody!
I haven’t been much of a blogger lately. OK, who are we kidding, I’ve never been a very good blogger. But that’s about to change. I just finished BOOK #2 (yet to be titled and would appreciate any and all title suggestions!). And now I am going to blog more — promise. Write that newsletter I’ve talked about and cook dinner once and a while. The kids are looking lean and hungry!
But come on now, I need you guys to enter my DQ contest or I”m going to be eating those 365 Blizzards myself. And for those who know me, and my sweet tooth, I’ll do it, every last one of them.
But for now, a glass of wine to celebrate the completion of Book #2.

Congratulations on finishing the book!

Susan, I knew this book would be wonderful when I read about it in the Chattanooga Times-Free Press just before your book signing in Chattanooga. I was unable to be there, but ordered your book and just began it yesterday. Can’t finish it quickly enough! I live in LaFayette, GA, and the CEO of Shop Rite is a friend and deacon in my church here. Growing up in LaFayette, I, too, knew there was life outside these city limits. However, here I am at 56 years old and back in my hometown - and loving it. In fact, I lived elsewhere only long enough for college and early career establishment - GO DAWGS! I have begun my first attempt at fiction writing, having a lifelong love of reading and creative writing. My mother loved to write, and after her death in 2003, I found a partial novel she had written by hand; and, my oldest daughter enjoys writing fiction short stories and poetry. I suppose it’s a family thing! Your novel is fantastic, and pulls the reader into the wonderful world of Catherine Grace Cline. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us, and please keep ‘em coming! (The second one’s book signing in this area will be on my calendar as soon as I learn of it!)

Hi Susan, I am such a fan now. I discovered your book listed on NPR’s website w/ the first chapter and I was hooked! My husband who worked at the LA TImes for 20 years comes from a small town in CA and I soooo recognized your writings in many of the people I know around there. :)
I hope to have enough free time to enter your contest since I just started reading your book :).
Also where can we read info on your 2nd book which I’m eager to see what its about and suggest sime titles :).
Best wishes always!

Hi Susan, I just found your book at the library and started reading while we were at Gulf Shores this week. I grew in a small town in north GA, and attended a small Baptist church. I could see so much of my childhood in your book. I teach school in a small community on just the other side of Taylor’s Ridge, so I felt like I was reading about people I know. Loved it! Thank you for showing southerners to be the intelligent, warm people that they are. I can’t wait for your next book.
